PRINCIPAL GUIDELINES OF THE APPLIED NUMERICAL ALGEBRA PRIZE
PRINCIPAL GUIDELINES: 1. The Prize is awarded to the two best academic papers written by Chinese scientists of age under 35, working in the field of Applied Numerical Algebra in China, and having obtained a Master or Doctoral degree within the last 5 years.2. The Prize is to be awarded on every NASC conference to at most two winners. Each winner will receive a plaque and a certificate. 3. Young scientists satisfying the requirements in Item 1 can apply for the Prize by sending the Prize Committee two hard copies and the PDF files of the following materials: recommendation letters from three full professors, one journal-published paper, a short academic CV, the Master or Doctoral diploma, and the personal identity card. 4. The deadline of application is the 15th of May in the selection year. 5. Four candidates for the Prize will be selected and they should present their papers at the NASC conference. Local costs during the conference period and a returned train ticket (up to a hard-sleeping seat) between the candidate's working institution and the conference site will be covered. The winners will be selected by the Prize Committee and announced during the conference. 6. This regulation is valid from May 1st, 2008.
