The fourth workshop on computational problems in materials science will

be held at Institute of Computational Mathematics Scientific/Engineering

Computing, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The first workshop in July

2009 at Peking University, second workshop in August 2010 at Soochow

University, and third workshop in July 2011 at Wuhan University resulted

in the great attention to the problems of multiple scale, multi-physics and

multi-disciplinary. The fourth workshop will bring leading experts in

mechanics, physics, chemistry and computational mathematics together for

future academic exchanges. The themes of the workshop cover

computational and mathematical problems arising from material sciences

and related areas. Recent developments in these areas will be surveyed and

future trends will be discussed to foster collaborations of scientists from

various disciplines.
