SONNET V

(September 12, 1995, Beijing)

Illinois is thousands of miles behind,
And tomorrow futher I have to go.
Don't know how, when and where I'll see you,
Odds are unknown whether I can you find.
Reappears days and nights your face with kind.
Echoes now and then your voices pretty low.
Quickly I realize that I love you so.
It's Great Buddha's force us together bind.
Up in Sears Tower twice to see Champaign
Mule I was alone at Empire State Building
Even in Jefferson's Hall my nerves strain
In fogs on Golden gate I keep thinking,

You for me and I for you we're waiting:
Yearn to be united, yet with much much pain.
