SONNET IV

(May 26 1994, Hong Kong)

The dearliest gift God gives me is Today.
Are there any sceneries in this world I
Know are so beautif'l as Clear Water Bay?
Endless tides, the wrong sunset, seagulls by
Coast, shyly moon, shooting starts, and the grey
Almost under water pier that we lie
Resemble an Eden, For what else need I pray?
Eyes to eyes, no words we let time go by
Your restraints, my control and hesitating
Or God's will, make us still pure and not sly
Know not, why the clock so fast travelling
Oh, will our farewell be the lift's bye-bye?

You'll reappear or not I do not know
Yet I'm sure that my heart'll always have you.
