The second Chinese-German workshop on Computational and Applied Mathematics will be held at Zhejiang University. The first workshop in September 2005  in Berlin resulted in a list of important key-areas where a German-Chinese collaboration promises highest scientific success. The second workshop will bring corresponding scientists together for future academic exchanges. 

The themes of the workshop cover all aspects of scientific computing, specially on numerical methods for partial differential equations, such as parallel computing, domain decomposition, and adaptive methods. Recent  developments in these areas will be surveyed and future trends will be discussed to foster collaborations of younger scientists of both countries.
