Limited number of short (about 20 minutes) contributed talks will be accepted for presentation. Papers on theoretical, computational and practical aspects of numerical optimization and numerical algebra are welcome.
Prospective participants (except invited speakers) should send their preregistration giving address (postal and e-mail, if available) to the address below by post or e-mail before May 15th, 2007. Those who want to contribute 20 minute talks please send the title and abstract (Latex file preferred) by e-mail to Mr Xin Liu (liuxin@lsec.cc.ac.cn). Due to various constraints, the maximum number of participants will be 60(the up limit for overseas participants will be 30). Therefore, if you want to attend, please register as soon as possible.
Regsitration Fees: The registration fees for the conference are 200 US dollars (paid before July 15th, 2007) and 250 dollars (paid after July 15th, 2007). Registration fees for students are 100 US dollars (paid before July 15th, 2007) and 125 US dollars (paid after July 15th, 2007). Please send your registration fees in check payable to Mr. Liu Xin to the address given below.
Accommondation: The conference will arrange your accommondation, a standard single room with all three meals costs 50 US dollars per day. A standard double room with all three meals (for two persons) costs 75 dollars per day. There are also luxury rooms available at different prices. Please contact the conference secretary for details.
Sightseeing Information: Urumqi is the most 'inland' city in the world. This city had strategic importance on the ancient Silk Road and there are many cultural relics which together with the natural landscape will add to the wonder of your Urumqi trip. The characteristic land form and local ethnic flavor are features that single out the Urumqi region from any other. Here you will see the famous Heaven Lake and the great Southern Pasture, while the Xinjiang Museum will show yet more of the history and culture. In addition, trips to surrounding cities like Kashgar or Tashkorgan will enrich your tour of this attractive region.
Visa: If you are not a Chinese passport holder, you will need a visa to come China. Please contact Mr Liu Xin to get an official invitation letter for you to apply the Chinese visa.
